Google is gearing up to launch its next mid-range smartphone called the Pixel 7a. The smartphone is expected to launch on May 10, the day the brand will hold its annual Google I/O event. Before the launch, almost everything related to the device reconfiguration has already been leaked. And now we have some spy photos of marketing materials stamping approval on the details.

Google Pixel 7a will have wireless charging

The report comes from MySmartPrice, citing an anonymous source that confirmed the device’s hardware specifications. According to the report, the Google Pixel 7a will feature a viewfinder-like camera module with a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 64MP primary camera sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with LED flash. Leaked marketing content shows that the 64MP camera will offer the best photo quality ever seen in the Pixel A series. The Pixel 7a is also said to have a Sony IMX787 primary camera sensor.

Under the hood, the Pixel 7a will be equipped with a Tensor G2 SoC and a Titan M2 security chip. The phone is also said to support wireless charging with support for 5W wireless charging, a first for any Google A-series device.

It is noted that the device can work with battery all day, up to 72 hours on battery in extreme power saving mode. The display is expected to be a 6.1-inch OLED panel with adaptive refresh rate support that can switch between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates depending on the content on the screen. According to rumors, the phone will be offered in three colors: light blue, gray and silver.
