Second-generation MLA panel is the jewel in the crown of OLED models
Panasonic continues to expand the features of its televisions, especially the OLED Z95A model, which features the second generation MLA panels developed by LG. In this way, the company manages to create a television that has all the qualities to compete with Samsung’s latest QD-OLEDs, which are also found in Sony’s A95L model.
The Z95A replaces the MZ2000 that Panasonic introduced last year, which also featured MLA panels made by LG; but in this case its performance increased significantly, reaching the following level: approximately 3,000 nits maximum brightness deliveryby company. It also offers a native refresh rate of around 144 Hz. One step below is the Z93A, which has no MLA panel but shares the HCX Pro AI Mark II processor, the same frequency and compatibility with Dolby Vision IQ Precision, HDR10+. HDR10 and HLG.
These are not the only OLED models the company offers this year. Z90A and Z80A are also offered as a more affordable alternative to OLED technology offered by Panasonic. with natural frequencies of 144 Hz and 120 Hz respectively, MLA-free panel with 10-bit color depth, compatibility with all the most prominent HDR formats and sizes up to 65 inches. The main difference is that the Z80A offers a scaled-down version of the HCX chip.
Most gamers will be satisfied as we have purchased televisions that are compatible with all kinds of gaming technologies as well as high panel frequency. And we have these too NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Such as VRR technique, HDMI 2.1 ports, gaming-optimized modes and much more.

Among LCDs we find MiniLED, FALD panels and various other systems.
Panasonic’s OLED models aren’t the only products the company is offering this year. We will also have five models with LCD-LED panels, some with MiniLED technology, others with FALD backlighting, and many others with features focused more on the mid-range and entry level.
The crown jewel in LCD-LED panels goes to the W95A, which is equipped with a MiniLED-type panel, 144 Hz native refresh rate and the same processor as the premium OLED series HCX Pro AI Mark II. One step below is the W93A, which has the same features, although its panel does not include MiniLED technology. FALD backlight. We don’t know the number of local dimming zones yet, but it is very likely that Panasonic will not disappoint in this regard either.
Among the televisions we also find the W80A, a Smart TV with a 120 Hz panel and HCX chip, which has lower performance than the top-end televisions. We also lose AMD FreeSync Premium technology as a variable refresh option.
Although all of the televisions we have mentioned so far offer Fire TV as an operating system, it is worth noting that W70A and W60A, which will be the company’s most affordable models, will also be released by 2024. They will present the Google TV and TiVO system respectively. Despite this, they will still be able to play Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG content, as well as having Dolby Atmos and HDMI 2.1 ports (albeit without VRR).
Price and availability
Panasonic hasn’t yet announced official prices for its television range or when it will hit stores, but everything points to a launch in the coming weeks. We will make sure to update this article.
