The head of the archaeological sector of the National Reserve “Kiev-Pechersk Lavra”, Serhii Taranenko, described the finds on his Facebook page. Excavations revealed a distinctive archaeological layer of the first age, which convincingly testifies to the existence of a glass workshop at this place in the XI-XII centuries.
Taranenko noted that this discovery was not entirely unexpected, as the existence of the workshop was known before. However, the actual discovery of the artifacts further confirms their historical significance and brings scientists closer to understanding the intricacies of glass production at that time.
