According to the portal G1a young man from São Paulo received a box of condensed milk instead of iphone which i bought in American.

The case took place last Monday (9) and went viral after the boy posted photos of the product received and demand the positioning of American women in social networks.

Although the case was made public through social media, the young man tried to contact the company via customer support, but it was very difficult for him to carry on this conversation. But after posting twitterthe Americans were looking for the boy to try to resolve the situation.

The shipment of the goods was carried out by the official carrier of the Americanas website, and the purchase was made through the store application. These are two factors that should improve the security of customers, but apparently they are not.

Americanas contacted Jonata (the young man with condensed milk) after his post went viral and promised that the new device would be shipped by Wednesday (11).

The Americanas note states that “contacted the buyer and informed that he gives priority to the shipment of the purchased goods. In parallel, the company is conducting an internal investigation into the case.“.

The young man returned to social networks and reported that the retailer had fulfilled its promise and delivered his smartphone.

“Americanas just delivered a cell phone home, I wasn’t there to register it, but my mom greeted me. Thank you to the Americanas team for solving the problem and especially to you on the internet who made this happen.“.

The event also helped several other netizens report similar incidents that happened to them. Between soap powder, guava paste, and condensed milk, it seems like this product swap has become commonplace, much to the annoyance of the digital retailer’s customers.

in accordance with procon–joint venturein the first quarter of this year alone, the agency has already received more than 128,000 online shopping complaints.
