The fact that we have known for a long time is that man still knows a very small part of the depths of the ocean, which opens the door to the discovery of countless amazing things. This time, a group of scientists have found what could be called “the road to Atlantis.”
Atolla reynoldsi is known to be a species of jellyfish and has been found in the US.
The discovery of what appears to be a fragment of the road happened in April of this year thanks to a team of oceanographers who were on the research vessel EV Nautilus. All of this is part of the Ocean Exploration Trust, where the team shares this and other discoveries live 24/7 throughout the days of the expedition aboard the boat.
This is part of the expedition Luuaahikiikekumuthe purpose of which is to study the National Maritime Monument. papahanaumokuakea (PMNM), a US marine reserve in the North Pacific near Hawaii. To date, only 3% of this area has been mapped.
Mythological stories aside, the most common hypothesis to date is that the “road” is volcanic rock that has been cracked as it has been heated and cooled by nearby eruptions over time. It is classified as hyaloclastite, a type of glassy rock that forms when cooled lava comes into contact with water or ice.
If you are interested in maritime discoveries, you can enter EVNautilus Youtube channelwho lives 24 hours 7 days a week. At the time of writing, there are four broadcasts.
