We are buying starlink It’s been over a year now and it’s finally here! This is the satellite internet company SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, which, in addition to providing the internet, plans to take a man to the moon and colonize Mars.
In this video from unpacking, we will show you what is included in the Starlink kit, as well as how easy it is to install and configure the antenna. We also explain how the antenna works with satellites and from Earth orbit to your home. We also detail the prices of the kits and briefly show you how Starlink works in Florianopolis – South Carolina, a city in an area that has just received satellite coverage.
With high speeds and low latency, Starlink promises broadband access in (not so) remote areas.
Since January, Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) has already granted SpaceX the right to operate here in Brazil. In April, antennas began to arrive in Sao Paulo and other states of the country. She arrived here a few days ago. The expansion process sees wider coverage in the state of Minas Gerais soon, adding parts of Santa Catarina, Parana, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with other areas of the country still receiving coverage in 2022 and early 2023.
What is Starlink?
Starlink is a proposal to spread the Internet around the world without geographic restrictions and the need for local infrastructure. Just take the kit with the antenna, electricity and mobile phone to set up so you can connect to the thousands of satellites already in orbit. So far, 2,500 satellites have been launched, with more than 2,200 in operation, but SpaceX’s idea is to launch more than 40,000 satellites to cover as much territory as possible.
These satellites follow predetermined routes at a distance of 550 km from Earth, covering (until then) some areas of the planet. The more satellites, the more and better coverage. Because of this, SpaceX is launching satellites every month, with more than 4,000 in orbit by early 2023.
