It will be even hotter: Ukraine is at the epicenter of the temperature anomaly

The increase in temperature is dangerous primarily for vulnerable population groups.

High temperatures will continue at night

Currently, the air temperature in the above-mentioned regions reaches and exceeds 40-42 degrees. Over the next 7 days, the maximum temperature is expected to exceed 42-44 degrees, which is 10-12 degrees above the 1991-2020 average in many parts of the Balkans, including Greece.

In addition to the very high maximum temperatures during the noon hours, high temperatures are expected to continue during the night hours, when temperatures will not fall below 28-30 degrees in many regions, especially in large city centers.

How long will the heat last in Ukraine?

It should also be noted that Nataliya Ptuha, a forecaster at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, confirmed in an interview with Channel 24 that the heat in Ukraine will intensify at the beginning of the week.

It will be hottest in the south of Ukraine; in some places it will be extremely hot with 40-41 degrees. In the rest of the country it will be +35 – +39 degrees.

The expert added that this weather will definitely continue until July 17. The forecaster noted that the temperature measured by meteorologists is natural for the environment, that is, the surface layer of the air.

This accurately represents the real temperature of the air mass coming into our area. However, in the city, near houses or generally under direct sunlight, the temperature can of course be much higher. This is absolutely normal.
