A group of students from Western Institute for Space Research (Western Institute of Space Research) recently conducted what is believed to be the first international two-way holographic teleportation in history. The act can also be called holoport and allowed to instantly transfer the hologram of a person to another place.

A man marries a hologram, but technological problems get in the way…
The company providing the service will no longer support the character.
According to Adam Sirek, co-founder and project leader of the Western Institute for Space Research: “We moved a person from Alabama (USA) to Ontario (Canada), and each of the students here on the project was able to instantly holoport in form to Huntsville, Alabama.” In short, a special camera creates a holographic image of a person, which is sent to the selected destination. On the other hand, a device called hololith allows the receiver to see the image within its surroundings.
The equipment needed for the experiment was developed Microsoftand the software was up to par Exa Aerospace. The latter collaborated with Biosystem Jump explore the medical applications of this technology, which enabled the demonstration of the first international holographic teleportation.
Another interesting point is that the same Aexa technology was used by NASA to send a doctor’s hologram to the International Space Station (ISS).
From now on, the students of the project, most of whom study medicine, are looking for a way to use this technology in the real world. Adam Levshchuk, an intern on the project, for example, is working on apps that “may facilitate the medical examinations that a doctor would normally do in an examination room.”
Other examples would be improved access to healthcare in remote locations and even innovations in virtual meetings, which have become more popular since the Covid-19 pandemic. Levshchuk believes it is “the best of both worlds between medicine and engineering”.
