Do you know how smart TVs are made? Have you seen what the TV assembly line looks like?
Aiwa invited us to visit their factory in Manaus, the same factory that has been producing Sony TVs and other electronics here in Brazil for decades – thousands of PlayStation 3s were produced here between 2010 and 2013. This factory is now owned by Mondial, which represents Quince in Brazil.
Which TV is best for movies, sports and games? Check out our thoughts throughout the video
On this FULL tour we were accompanied by Pedro Orlando Costa, just the general manager of the factory. In his 28 years at SONY, he has been responsible for ensuring the high quality of products manufactured by the Japanese brand in Brazil.
This factory produces 32”, 43”, 50” and 55” TVs. Soon they will also start producing 65-inch and 75-inch screens. All with Android or Google TV. These large speakers are also made here for parties, but in this video we will focus on the process of building a TV.
Their initial goal is to produce between 300,000 and 500,000 TVs in 2022, but they have the capacity to do much more as the plant is only running one shift so far. Did you find it interesting? So let’s watch a video to see what this factory looks like inside!
