Nikon’s AnnualSmall World Photomicrography ContestThe 48th stage has recently started. The photo contest, in which we descended into worlds on an almost microscopic level, produced beautiful frames.
As the winner of the photo contest was announced, a submitted photo caught the attention of the world. Lithuanian nature photographer Eugenijus Kavaliauskasrevealed in detail the face of an ant that we had rarely seen before.
The ant that looks like it just came out of the fantastic world:

Although many ant photos entered the competition this year, as every year, Eugenijus Kavaliauskas’ 57′Images of distinction‘, this photo caught my eye. Kavaliauskas’ photo made the ants look like they’d stepped out of a fantasy world. Kavaliauskas was unable to be among the winners of the competition with this photo and was excluded from the category. Nikon item for $35 won.

The winner of the competition won a cash prize of $3,000.
