Launched in 1990 and still in use Hubble Space Telescopecame up with an extremely exciting observation today. Hubble was able to observe a supernova event, one of the most violent explosions in space. Moreover, there was a special case in this observation.

Hubble could blow up supernova at the same time as ‘gravitational lensing’ observe in three different phases passed. This observation, made possible by the gravity of a galaxy, was shared as follows:

The observed supernova was actually the explosion of a star 11 billion light-years away. According to the statement shared by NASA, this observation is “First detailed look at a supernova this early in the history of the universeIt also features ”.

In reflections marked 1 and 2, the supernova appears blue, indicating high temperatures. At number 3, the supernova can be seen in red. This indicates that the resulting temperature has dropped.

The sighting was made in the galaxy cluster Abell 370. The study on the sighting was published in the journal Nature.

So what is “gravitational lensing” that allows us to see the supernova 3 ways at once?
