Astronomers from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom discovered that the Earth was also involved in their research. The oldest star in the Milky Way galaxy and they discovered the solar system to which it belongs.

This oldest star discovered by astronomers falls into the “white dwarf” category and is located 90 light-years from Earth. The solar system, including the icy asteroids and planets orbiting it, is more than 10 billion years old according to initial calculations!

The study’s lead author, Abigail Elms, told Psys.org: “It’s unlike anything known in our own solar system.”

“We have found the oldest remnants of stars that were ever contaminated by Earth-like planets in the Milky Way galaxy. It’s really surprising to learn that this happened over a period of 10 billion years and that these planets died long before the Earth was formed.”

However, the substances they have during this cooling allow them to form into different colors, just like an iron turns red when it rusts.
