In the United States, a military barracks complex is printed on a 3D printer

Barracks are planned to be built in Fort Bliss, Texas. Each of the three buildings will reportedly have an area of approximately 1,700 square meters.

In construction, Icon uses its own Vulcan printer system and “high-strength” concrete known as lavakret.
The complex is expected to be the world’s largest 3D printer, surpassing the 3,000 square foot office building in Dubai built by Boston-based Apis Cor.

The company had previously worked with the Texas Department of Defense to set up training barracks. They were also printed on a 3D printer, but smaller.
