A large asteroid will appear at the end of April

On April 26, a celestial body with a diameter of about 800 meters will approach the Earth. Named 418135, this asteroid will fly at a distance of about 3.2 million km – that’s just over 8 times the Earth-Moon distance. Its speed will be about 37,000 km / h.

On May 9, an asteroid of the same size will fly past Earth. NASA estimates its diameter to be about 900 meters. The 467460 (2006 JF42) will also fly past the planet from a safe distance.

Giant asteroid will appear at the end of May

Then, on May 27, a much larger asteroid will approach Earth. Its diameter is about 1.8 km, according to NASA. This is the largest celestial body to approach Earth in the coming months.

Named 7335 (1989 JA), this asteroid will approach approximately 4 million kilometers from Earth. This corresponds to just over 10 times the distance from the Earth to the Moon. NASA shows its speed – more than 47,000 km / h.
