For the first time, Ukrzaliznytsia tested targeted navigation notifications via the app.
As reported by Ukrinform, the company announced this on Facebook.
“We would like to remind you that as a result of the enemy bombardment of Khmelnytskyi on the morning of May 13, 21 Ukrzaliznytsia trains had to change their route, dozens of additional flights, rail and bus services were organized. Through the official application of Ukrzaliznytsia, to help passengers of various flights navigate the message whirlwind, In test mode, they were sent personalized instructions on transfer routes.”
According to UZ, personalized instructions were created based on a number of factors: departure station, flight and arrival station, available services and connections in the selected time period.
In total, more than 30 variations of such notifications have been created for passengers.
It is also emphasized that not a single long-haul flight has been canceled and that at least 2,000 passengers have been carried by the shuttles.
So far, about 800,000 users have installed the Ukrzaliznytsia application.
As reported, Ukrzaliznytsia OJSC received permission to restart traffic on a section of the track in Khmelnytskyi, which was closed to passenger trains after enemy shelling on May 13.
