The first messages began appearing around 2am between Sunday and today’s Monday. The Samsung Brasil channel, with 1.46 million subscribers, has started broadcasting live conversations about Bitcoin and Ethereum. In the morning, there was no longer any content about broadcast cryptocurrencies, but the channel lost verification, its description was empty, and at some point its name was changed to “microstrategy“, an analytical and corporate intelligence company operating since 1989.

On the “less bad” side, videos published by Samsung itself remained available on the channel as well as its playlists.

The Samsung Brasil Youtube channel is not the first to be hacked like this in a short amount of time. In September 2021, the channel infinite loopwith 1.05 million subscribers, was also hacked using the same working methodstarting to promote cryptocurrencies and “disappearing” with videos of content producers.

More recently, other channels that have come under similar attacks include Scoundrel Channelwritten by Julio Cocielo, with 20.6 million subscribers, and up to adrenalinsister channel here by Mundo Conectado.

In addition, this year Samsung was already hacked by the Lapsus$ group, as a result of which more than 190 GB of information was stolen from it.
