The European Innovation Council will allocate 20 million euros to support Ukraine’s Deep Tech developments.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Within the framework of the Seeds of Courage program, 20 million euros will be allocated from the European Innovation Council to support the Ukrainian technological ecosystem,” the message says.
It is emphasized that thanks to the project, nearly 200 Ukrainian startups operating in the field of Deep Tech development can receive grant funding of 12 million Euros. The program provides 5 types of support with the possibility of attracting up to EUR 60,000 to a startup: Innovation Services (up to EUR 10,000), Entrepreneurship (up to EUR 25,000), Deep Tech Incubation (up to EUR 25,000), Ukrainian Reconstruction (up to 25 thousand Euros), Deep Tech Scale-Up (up to 50 thousand Euros).
It is stated that at least 20 percent of the startups participating in the program must be founded or managed by women.
In addition to receiving funding, program participants will also receive training on the promotion of the project and entry into international markets, as well as the integration of the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem into the European network.
