Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the biggest games that Capcom will release this year. Its arrival is scheduled for March 22, and we already know its minimum and recommended PC requirements. It will be quite challenging, and will also be available for current-generation consoles, i.e. PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

We didn’t know what kind of experience to expect from Dragon’s Dogma 2 running on consoles, but thanks to Capcom’s Hideaki Itsuno, we now know that the game will only run in 4K resolution at 60 FPS on PC. On consoles it will be limited to approximately 30 FPSbut strangely it won’t be blocked, meaning it will fluctuate up and down.

I think it’s quite likely that Capcom decided not to lock the frames per second in order to prepare for the future launch of the PS5 Pro, a console that will be much more powerful than the PS5, which will arrive later this year. . Dragon’s Dogma 2 is best played on PC, that’s for sure.

Minimal requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card with 8 GB of graphics memory.
  • DirectX 12.

With this configuration, performance 30 FPS in 1080p, although it is warned that the fluidity level may drop in areas where the action is very intense.

Recommended requirements

  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 2080 or Radeon RX 6700 graphics card.
  • DirectX 12.

If we meet these specifications, we will be able to play 2160i (interlaced) with 30 FPS. We remind you once again that fluidity may decrease in areas where the action is very intense.

The PC version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 will use ray tracing and support NVIDIA DLSS 3, i.e. with super resolution and image generation, something that will undoubtedly help improve performance significantly. To enable ray tracing, Capcom recommends having at least one graphics card GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or with Radeon RX 6800.
