TDTChannels is one of the most popular applications when it comes to better organizing the DTT channels on our television. Depending on the operating system, the TV guide will be more or less visual, but no one can save us from the necessity of adjusting and sorting the channels to maintain a certain harmony in their arrangement.

After some issues in 2022 that led to the pause of the service, TDTChannels returned on Three Kings Day, moving its community from Telegram to Discord due to issues on the platform. Its creators announced a new update for Android TV and Fire TV. I took the opportunity to test the app again and see how it fares in 2024.

The creators of TDTChannels have announced the new version v2024.08.01, available for AndroidTV and FireTV. You don’t need to do anything too technical, you can download the app directly from the store and install it without any problems.

From what we read on Xataka Home, these are the new features that the new app promises for both FireTV and Android TV and Google TV.

• Better contrast on SmartTV
• Advanced EPG Programming Guide
• Default dark mode on AndroidTV and FireTV
• Improved background playback
• New interface optimized for TV control

As you can see in the image above, the interface is now more comfortable. Dark mode is enabled by default and the menu is not at the bottom – this innovation was added in April 2024 – it is located on the side. Here we find the channel, radio and guide options, reserving the upper part for favorites and search.

He continues to point out that finding channels is much easier than television. We open the application and that’s it, all the channels are organized in just two clicks. Press to open the channel and play that channel.

The app is free to install from the app store of both operating systems and does not have any type of subscription or paid content.
