According to new information, the iPhone 14 will cost the same as the iPhone 13

For some time now, we have come across information that Apple takes for granted The price of the iPhone 14 will go upa terminal that, if all goes according to plan, will be presented next September and will come with a configuration similar to that of the iPhone 13, at least in the standard version.

This information makes sense and the increase in the price of the iPhone 14 would have to face an increase in costs which Apple has had to face in recent quarters due to events such as semiconductor shortages and rising prices of many components and raw materials. Energy costs have also increased, which of course would also “stiffen” the production costs of the said terminal.

We still didn’t have a concrete number that would allow us to get an idea of the entity that might have this price increase, but everything indicated that will be in the $100 rangea number that in Spain could be perfectly converted to 100 euros. If confirmed, the price of the new iPhone 14 would be as follows in different versions:

  • iPhone 14: 1,009 euros.
  • iPhone 14 Max: 1,109 euros.
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 1,259 euros.
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 1,359 euros.

iPhone 14

The fact is that now additional information, which comes from a fairly reliable source, ensures that Apple will keep the price of the iPhone 14 at the same level as the iPhone, which would mean that the said terminal would enter the market. for the same price as the iPhone 13 when starting it, 909 euros. It’s not crazy, in fact, it’s something that could be perfectly accomplished, though Apple would have to be willing to absorb the cost increase instead of passing it on to consumers.

However, there is one thing that is important to be clear about, and that is the iPhone 14’s price retention It makes sense because the changes this smartphone will bring compared to the iPhone 13 are ultimately minimal.and since it is likely that Apple has the possibility to recycle the parts of the iPhone 13 that it has in stock to produce the said terminal, which of course would greatly reduce the production costs.

In the case of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, I’m not so convinced that we will not see an increase in price, because they will be the ones that will reach the market with a number of fundamental changes, among which we can highlight the use of a panel without a notch on the screen, the jump to the Apple A16 SoC and LPDDR5 memory usage. All these changes should affect the production costs of these terminals to a greater extent, and it may happen that this will ultimately be passed on to consumers in whole or in part.

It will not be long before we get out of doubt about what will happen to the price of the iPhone 14 in its various versions, because the presentation of this new generation of mobile devices should take place in the first half of Septemberalthough the availability of some models could be delayed until the end of that month, as has already happened with previous generations.
