In addition, they will be able to create new custom url to your channels based on the selected id. Content creators will start receiving notifications right now from November 14 when support for creating IDs for your channels becomes available. Identifiers should also be a means of preventing scammers impersonate other content creators on YouTube using similar channel names. An important detail mentioned in the YouTube team’s announcement is that, depending on the number of subscribers, some channels may create their IDs before others.
