Ukrinform reports that this is stated on the blog of the American space agency.
As noted, astronauts left the International Space Station’s airlock to install new solar arrays (iROSA). They were in space for 7 hours and 8 minutes.
It was both the third spacewalk for astronauts and the 257th spacewalk under ISS modernization and maintenance missions.
Thanks to the new iROSA batteries, the electricity generation capacity will increase by 30%, and the total usable power of the ISS will increase from 160 kW to 215 kW.
As Ukrinform reports, NASA is looking for a leak in a Russian spacecraft docked at the ISS.
