Astronauts aboard the Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft, now aboard China’s Tiangong space station, completed their first spacewalk at 12:16pm Beijing time on Friday.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Xinhua.

The China Manned Space Program Office (CMSA) said that Fei Junlong and Zhang Lu jointly completed all the assigned missions with Deng Qingming aboard the space station and providing support to crewmates in space.

Later, Fei Junlong and Zhang Lu returned to the Wentian Lab Module.

During the approximately seven hours of extravehicular activity, the astronauts completed various tasks, including installing additional pumps outside the Mentian Laboratory Module.

After the completion of the construction of the Chinese space station, crew members were recorded for the first time in space.

According to the plan, the Shenzhou-15 team will conduct several spacewalks in the future.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 29 last year, Chinese authorities launched a Long March 2F launch vehicle with three taikonauts on board as part of the Shenzhou-15 mission.
