Fraer’s greed ruined: electric car fueling rates put an end to it

Ecological cars are pure utopia for our country. Also because officials, while trying to develop the infrastructure for “trains”, at the same time make its use completely unprofitable. Another example of this is a sharp increase in prices at electric filling stations in Yekaterinburg.

The country’s authorities are actively urging citizens to change their orientation and switch to electric vehicles, motivating this dubious “movement” by the fact that, they say, “battery-powered cars” have the negative impact of vehicles on nature will help reduce. But today, the Russians who heard these eco-calls have reduced the share of electric cars in the country’s fleet to almost 1%, which is downright ridiculous. However, the state plans to change the deplorable picture by increasing the share of electric transport in the Russian Federation to 30% in the very short term. Which, frankly, is hard to believe, given the way the solution of the issue is approached in our province.

For example, on May 15, the free period of operation of the EZS of the company Rosseti Ural came to an end. Energy engineers explained this step by the fact that 100 million rubles were invested in the development of the network of electric filling stations, so now the tariff paid will contribute to the expansion and improvement of the service. But what to do if the desire is good, but behind it is an ocean of unresolved problems?

The owner of the electric car Volkswagen e-Lavida, Kirill Formanchuk, studied the announced tariffs and drew conclusions about the commercialization of the EZS network, which will lead to a decrease in demand for “green” cars. In particular, he told the Yekaterinburg Online portal that earlier in Yekaterinburg it was possible to charge a car for free at the stations of the Rosseti company. However, to date, the price of refueling an e-car in this structure has reached 26.2 rubles per 1 kWh, while competitors do not exceed 17 rubles.

Based on this, we see that the cost price per kilometer of an electric car is equal to the cost price of a conventional car. Therefore, most car owners charge cars through home chargers, using paid stations as a last resort. And if we take into account that the consumption of “fuel” increases several times due to the need to heat the cabin, then the purchase of a “green friend” becomes economically unprofitable.

However, this is not news to the experts of the AvtoVzglyad portal. We have repeatedly written that in the near future “electric trains” will not shine on the roads of Russians: there are too many problems associated not only with the solvency of the population, but also with very non-budgetary infrastructure. So Greta Tumberg will not turn around in our open spaces. And thank goodness…
