So, as recently as May 2023, Russians bought 501.9 thousand used cars – 53.7% more than in the same period last year.
Which brands are popular with consumers? The TOP-10 is opened by the undisputed leader of the domestic automotive industry – LADA. Models of the brand were sold with a circulation of 107,660 units. Behind it is the Japanese Toyota. 59,549 motorists made the choice in her favour. Kia was third with 28,686 units. Next came Hyundai (28,264) and Nissan (26,576). The top ten also included VW, Chevrolet, Honda, Ford and Renault.
As for the models, Ford Focus has traditionally kept the “gold”: the result is 10,810 resold cars. Hyundai Solaris won silver with 9,873 buyers. Bronze was awarded to LADA 2114, as it was preferred by 9863 drivers. The fourth position was taken by Kia Rio (9737), and the fifth – by Toyota Corolla (9161), the Avtostat agency reports.
