In June, imported cars from abroad accounted for 53% of total sales. At the same time, the share of “official” imports – that is, the cars that distributors supplied to Russia – was 38%, and the so-called alternative (“gray” and “parallel”) – 15%.
According to the Avtostat agency, the share of imported cars has doubled over the past year: if this figure is now “frozen” at about 53%, then in June 2022 it will increase by 26%. The number of cars brought by official representatives of manufacturers increased by 22% in 12 months, while “gray” deliveries only increased by 5%.
In addition, analysts note that the share of Russian cars has also grown over the past year – from 25 to 32%. But the segment of domestically produced foreign cars, which dominated the ball before “those same” events and occupied half of the market, collapsed to 15% for obvious reasons.
Recall that in June, according to the analytical company “PPK”, 87,357 electronic titles were issued for brand new cars. And if we compare this figure with the result of the first summer month of 2022, the domestic market grew by 133%.
