Once again, motor fuel wholesale prices have updated an all-time record. On the stock exchange, gasoline AI-92 rose in price by 0.3% on Monday and reached the level of 60,758 rubles per ton (44.34 rubles per liter). At the same time, the wholesale cost of a ton of AI-95 simultaneously decreased by 0.06% to 66,646 rubles per ton (48.6 rubles per liter). Diesel fuel added 1.05% to the price, its cost was 53,481 rubles per ton (41.1 rubles per liter). So we can talk about a continuous, eight trading session long increase in the cost of AI-92 gasoline – it shows an all-time high again on a daily basis. At the same time, AI-95 quotes are basically a sign of the times. If this continues, we will most likely be able to see an amazing picture by the fall when the price of AI-92 will overtake AI-95.

The authorities calmly observed this process until the beginning of the summer, when fuel stock prices began to beat all-time highs. However, the state’s intervention was only reflected in recommendations to oil companies to sell large quantities of oil products on the stock exchange. Which, as we see, did not affect the situation very much. Because the sale of gasoline abroad remains much more profitable for oil companies than sales in the domestic market.
