Gasoline and diesel prices in Russia started to rise again

Stock prices of gasoline and diesel in the European part of Russia started to rise again after a two-day decline. The price of ‘winter’ diesel fuel on the eve of cold weather breaks records for the third day in a row.

As TASS reports with reference to data from the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, the price of summer diesel per day increased by 5.8% – to 57,004 rubles per ton, and “off-season” by 0.34% – to 64,221. “wooden” per tonne. Gasoline AI-92 increased in price by 1.2% – to 56,151 rubles per ton, AI-95 – to 58,587 rubles.

The cost of ‘winter’ diesel fuel sets a record for the third day in a row. Yesterday it rose 0.16% to 73,096 rubles per tonne. Let’s not forget that on September 21, the government introduced a temporary restriction on gasoline and diesel exports to stabilize the domestic market.

First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy Pavel Sorokin clarified that the ban has been introduced indefinitely – its duration will depend on market saturation and the results of this measure. And although, as we see, the results are still disappointing, the country’s government is already considering the possibility of lifting the ban.
