The Chinese company Geely has published images of the new E8 electric sedan, more than five meters long. It could hit the market by the end of this year.
Geely has shown official images of the Galaxy E8 electric sedan, which is built on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. The length of the new product is 5010 mm, width – 1920 mm, height – 1465 mm. The developers especially note the aerodynamic design of the body: the drag coefficient is only 0.199.
The front part attracts attention with a decorative radiator grille, which is actually a matrix of 158 LEDs. According to the Chinese, the car can communicate with the outside world: display messages, icons and other notifications on the screen. Geely does not say how protected it is against sandblasting and other mechanical influences.
The interior of the Galaxy E8 received a steering wheel instead of the usual steering wheel and a 45-inch 8K display on the front panel. It has an ultra-thin frame with a thickness of only 8 mm and a display area of 1130 x 138 mm. The multimedia system supports connecting controllers to play video games – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip is responsible for performance.
A 272 hp electric motor is mentioned as the power plant, but it is possible that the Galaxy E8 will get an all-wheel drive version in the future.
They promise to launch the sedan in the Chinese market before the end of the year. Nothing is known yet about export plans.
