Why are Russians massively registering trucks in Kazakhstan

At the beginning of April, the European Union imposed a ban on trucks from Russia and Belarus. However, as the AvtoVzglyad portal discovered, many carriers have found a way to circumvent sanctions through Kazakhstan.

“Russian and Belarusian companies register in Kazakhstan, receive Kazakhstani heavy truck registration plates, choose permit forms, so-called “permits”, and freely enter and exit Europe under the flag of Kazakhstan,” said Maksat Ramankulov, deputy of the lower House of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the same time, companies from Belarus and Russia turned out to be more agile than their Kazakh counterparts: as Mr. Ramankulov assures, most of the “permits” are issued for an unknown reason to companies from the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation.

As a result, carrier services have risen sharply in price due to the lack of permits. Last year, for the delivery of goods from Europe, transport workers took 5-6 thousand euros, and now the prices have risen to 10-15 thousand. It is clear that these costs are borne by the end user.
