The Saransk Dump Truck Plant has developed a line of tow trucks based on the 10-ton Lawn Next truck. They are expected to replace the bright green forklifts of the German brand MAN, which the capital’s data processing center uses to transport cars of parking violators.
According to the Quto portal, although Mosparking has not yet complained about problems with the maintenance of MAN trucks, these are inevitable in the near future, as spare parts for European vehicles have become scarce and much more expensive after the introduction of Western sanctions. A replacement for the “crocodiles” can be tow trucks based on “Lawn Next” with broken and sliding platforms, produced by SAZ. They are designed for the transportation of SUVs, trucks and cars.
Tow trucks equipped with a broken platform, thanks to the special design of the ramps, provide a very small approach angle for the transported vehicle – only 7 degrees (for the main competitors – 13). The modification with a sliding platform has a more complex device with a hydraulic system, but the process of loading equipment is as simple as possible.
New welding tables have been purchased for the production of tow trucks, a blasting booth has been installed and a new spray booth is also planned.
