The Russians began to buy car parts from their hands en masse

The ongoing crisis, exacerbated by the stranglehold of sanctions and the rise in the price of anything and everything, is forcing Russian car owners to buy more and more non-genuine spare parts, often out of their hands and on the “grey” car markets. With details – the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

More than half of our compatriots – 56% – began to buy auto parts themselves, without the help of specialists from technical centers. Most often, Russians buy spare parts in marketplaces, car markets and even out of their hands. This data was shared with the AvtoVzglyad portal by Ozone analysts who interviewed Russian car owners in different regions of the country. It is noteworthy that 48% of motorists spend on the purchase and replacement of components from 20,000 to 50,000 rubles per year. In addition, 49% buy spare parts at least once a year, and 27% – several times a year.

Only a quarter of the car owners surveyed entrust the procurement of the necessary parts to service technicians, while the rest search for themselves: 34% – on the Internet, 15% – in “live” car stores, 12% – in car markets and 8% – on marketplaces.

It should be added that sales of auto parts for the first month of summer increased by 3.3 times, the average check is 1,300 rubles. The highest demand is for steering components (sales growth 8.7 times compared to last year), suspension elements (popularity for such products 8.2 times greater) and body parts (demand 7.7 times greater).

By the way, 39% of Russians buy non-original spare parts for their cars, 24% of them do not see any difference in the quality of branded analogues, and 8% even believe that these same analogues often even exceed the original in characteristics.
