Togliatti residents were forced to suspend production of LADA Largus station wagons and vans in the spring due to a dire shortage of parts. Halfway through the summer, the necessary parts were scraped together and 1,800 cars rolled off the assembly line. Now the inhabitants of Volga are ready to assemble another limited batch, but this time – almost three times fewer cars.
So, according to the Atypical AVTOVAZ community, preparations for the release of Largus will begin on December 9 – then the welding and painting complexes will begin to work. The conveyor will be launched on the 12th, but only for one working week, that is, until the 16th. Only one day shift is assumed because very few cars are intended to be assembled.
As for the future fate of the model, production will resume after the launch of the updated Vesta, which has moved from the Izhevsk site. This is because the refreshed family will settle on the same B0 line where Largus was assembled. And since Vesta is still a priority for Togliatti, Largus will have to wait for dealers to receive a certain range of sedans and station wagons.
