Why there are no traffic police cameras on new roads and highways
On every street – even on those where a desperate pilot will not squeeze more than 60 km / h – there is a scattering of complexes for automatically solving traffic violations. There were also no free posts left on the old suburban highways. And on toll roads, where the craftsman even goes 200 km / h – not a single camera for hundreds of kilometers. But why? The answer to these and other questions is contained in the material of the AvtoVzglyad portal.

After leaving the Moscow courtyard on the road, it takes literally a minute and a half to count a dozen or two video recording cameras: traffic cameras, fines for violations, surveillance of streets and yards of the Safe City, and a dozen more other cases. It is no longer what is on each pillar, but hangs like a bunch of grapes, striving to look into the soul and out the window.

Big Brother is vigilant and keeps a close eye on everyone: every move is recorded and stored in a giant database “before the event”. And then – in the folder. Nothing is hidden from the “all-seeing eye”. If there are more than 3,000 video repair complexes in Moscow alone, how many are there in total? Ten thousand? Hundred thousand?

A trip along the Moscow ring road under the guidance of a navigator only emphasizes the depth and power of such “attention” – the device reports tirelessly, frankly non-stop on cameras. But as soon as you enter the turnpike – be it the new “Leningradka” or everyone’s favorite M4 “Don” – the “navigator” falls silent.

It turns out that we give away our hard-earned money for the opportunity to drive not only fast, but without rules? How much did I squeeze out of the car – all mine: a crime without punishment? If.

There are many myths that the owners of highways “agree” that traffic police cameras should not be hung on their territory. Like, the more fines the car owner gets, the less often he will go to the “scarves”. And so – and did the work, and took part in the attraction. Everything is strictly optional. But of course this is a delusion and there is nothing in it that even comes close to reality. But there is a strict methodology from the Ministry of Transport, according to which video recording complexes are installed. She explains everything.

The cameras are “seeded” according to a very simple principle: the operator does not place the complexes where he wants, but only where several accidents have already happened. In addition, with a call for an ambulance. Such a point is recognized as a hotbed of accidents, after which a camera must appear on it. That is, it is impossible to predict, prove or convince that it is necessary to hang a “recording device” on a certain pole, hang a sign or slow down – there is no such option . Only in fact.

That’s why there are very few cameras on new high-speed highways, if they exist at all: asphalt “has not yet accumulated enough statistics” for an official to recognize sections as accident centers and order the operator to install complexes on them. In this simple way an even more impressive pattern emerges: the number of cameras – not only on scarves, but in general on all roads – does not depend on the “powers that be”, as is commonly believed in kitchens and garages, but on the road users themselves – motorists and pedestrians.
