New car sales fell 61.6% in November

At the end of November, 46,400 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles had been found by buyers, almost 62% less than in November last year. The domestic car market continues to fall into the “pit”, and so far the bottom is not visible.

According to the Association of European Companies (AEB), AVTOVAZ sold 21,700 cars in the last month of autumn. Togliatti remains the market leader – however, they have almost no competitors left. However, the decrease compared to November 2021 was 18%. And for 11 months, LADA brand indicators fell by 49% compared to the same period last year, reaching 164,600 cars.

In second place was the Chinese brand Haval with a score of no fewer than 4,600 vehicles. It is followed by GAZ (4200 units), Geely (3500 units), UAZ (less than 3500 units) and Kia (3100 units). But more recently it was the Koreans who set the tone.

So far, models such as LADA Granta, Niva Legend and Travel remain the main sales drivers, but of course they cannot saturate the market. And not everyone needs “state officials”. At the same time, the share of Chinese is growing rapidly: the number of dealers of Chinese brands in the country has already risen to a thousand, although there were still 830 in mid-October.
