How some drivers manage to save a lot on fuel
Oddly enough, the question of fuel costs is acute not only in Russia, but also in many quite stable countries. The torment of Europeans by current gas station prices is not new, but the fuel starvation of the “bright city on the hill” – the United States – is something unimaginable. Moreover, the Americans appear to have gone much further than the Finns, Greeks and other Britons in ways to save petrol and diesel. And about one of the most odious – says the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

President Biden’s battle with fuel prices will surely go down in history, however it turns out. After all, fuel is one of the most important indicators of the US economy and its availability has always been the engine of growth and prosperity. Americans drive a lot, regularly traveling around the country and crossing the continent, so the fuel line occupies a prominent place in any family budget.

The same goes for diesel fuel: diesel becomes part of every delivery, so the prices of food, clothes and literally every product on the shelves are firmly tied to a gas station’s price list. And then there is a sharp rise.

However, the people of the United States are not easy, similar to us in many ways. Therefore, “life hacks” immediately appeared that allow to reduce the current cost of refueling to the usual. So what exactly are local drivers doing to save their wallets?

Without embarrassment or hiding, Americans write on social networks: “Fuel costs $6.29 per gallon. I filled a full tank, the total amount on the check is 125.98. Quietly leave the gas station without paying. Summons. The fine is $70. The total benefit is $55.98. Follow me to learn new ways to save every day.

The situation may seem random or isolated – they say, the media blows up – but the owners of American gas stations began to hire armed guards to save the company from such “life hackers”. Moreover, this happens not only in remote cities or reserves, the atmosphere of which is familiar to Russian connoisseurs of Netflix and HBO series, but also in megacities.

Someone else’s soul is dark, but in Russia such an offense is punishable by criminal law and a fine of up to 80,000 rubles, which, of course, covers all the “benefits”. All gas stations are equipped with security cameras and if a customer leaves without paying, all the operator has to do is call a team and rectify the violation. Further, the police will take up the case, which quickly – “Web” sees everything and everyone – will find the attacker, in whichever region he decides to hide. Technically, the system even allows you to find a car without a license plate, but a number of conditions must be met to do so. A business case is one of them. By the way, enough. Therefore, we strongly advise against repeating the “exploits” of American lifehackers.
