As part of the study, experts examined 705 models produced by 27 car manufacturers. The average age of certain cars was calculated from the day of their official premieres and restylings and updates were not taken into account.
It turned out that LADA has the oldest model range. His average age was 18.9 years. This was not surprising, because the plant currently produces the Granta family, as well as two Niva – Legend and Travel. It is difficult to call them new developments. As for Vesta, it appeared in 2015. Now we are waiting for the resumption of production of the sedan and station wagon.
The American Tesla came in second with an average of 7.8 years. The lineup includes four electric cars. The last “train” was shown in March 2019. And Mahindra sells some cars released in the early 2000s.
The list of manufacturers with the latest model range includes Isuzu, as well as two Chinese companies – Xpeng and NIO.
