It seems that our country has moved one step closer to the massive “greening” of transportation – the goal that the Russian authorities are so obsessed with. Renera has started serial production of lithium-ion batteries for electrical machines and stationary energy storage systems at the Moscow Polymetal Plant (MZP).
The capacity of the new mega-factory will reach about 150 MW / h – that is, the enterprise will be able to produce about 2,000 batteries per year. Production consists of sections for electrical work, actual assembly and testing. Several dozen people are involved and, according to plant representatives, the workforce will only increase.
At the same time, it is curious that, as the AvtoVzglyad portal was told by Artem Zaitsev, head of production at the Renera battery plant, customers will be provided with batteries that are only half charged. Why is that? Yes, because it speeds up the release process – the battery spends less time on the conveyor – and the resource is not reduced during storage.
We add that most of the products manufactured in the MZP are aimed at the public electric transport of the metropolitan network. Although there are also plans for the production of batteries for passenger trains assembled in Russia. But it is not yet clear which brands are involved.
