Togliatti plans to present the first prototype of the LADA e-Largus electric car in Izhevsk, and this will happen as early as 2022. But previously management said an experimental batch of “innovative” vans and station wagons should appear in 2023, and a commodity one in 2024.

The head of the company Maxim Sokolov said that the first LADA Largus prototype with a power plant is being prepared for the premiere. In an interview with RIA Novosti, he said that the car will be presented in the capital of Udmurtia in a few days.

As for the start of mass production, it begins at the company’s plant in Izhevsk. In addition, the degree of localization will be high. However, the management does not mention specific dates. Judging by the information that appeared in the media earlier, we can conclude that commercial electric cars may start rolling off the assembly line as early as next year, and not in 2024.

The technical characteristics of the e-Largus have not yet been announced. It is known that the power reserve of the cargo version will be 200-250 km, and the passenger version will be able to travel 350-400 km. The car is powered by a single electric motor, which is mounted on the front axle. Traction batteries are mounted under the hood and cab floor.
