At the beginning of the year, the inhabitants of Togliatti were predicted an unenviable future. Especially when it became clear that supply chains were broken and auto parts manufacturers were leaving the Russian market. However, the factory was able to restore production and is now even waiting for a small profit after the difficult 2022.
In 2022, the company will produce about 220,000 cars, company head Maxim Sokolov told Rossiya 24 TV channel. This is of course a modest result, but in April the forecasts were much worse. The conveyor was expected to be idle for almost a year and losses to reach 30 billion rubles. But the factory workers managed to overcome the difficulties and now work six days a week.
The top manager also said AVTOVAZ expects to produce about 400,000 vehicles by 2023 and expand production capacity.
Recall that earlier the AvtoVzglyad portal wrote that Togliatti plans to resume production of LADA Vesta and Largus in September and solve problems with the delivery of various electronic driver assistance systems to the conveyor, in particular ABS.
