As the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov told the AvtoVzglyad portal, several new products will appear on the market at once by the end of 2023. Among them
The new SUV, which plays in the B+ segment, will be built on the basis of the flagship model and will be registered at the Togliatti plant. Where, in fact, the serial reboot of the updated LADA Vesta NG will take place in the spring.
This is where, among other things, assembly of the latest B-class sedans, also designed to expand the house brand’s product line, will begin.
As for the future C- and D-segment crossovers, they will be placed on the conveyor belt of the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. In the initial phase, it is planned to produce 10,000 vehicles according to the SKD method. And in 2024, production should increase to 40,000 cars. In addition, new items may appear under a double name, as a result of cooperation with Chinese partners, with which negotiations are now nearing completion.
And the Volzhans are also preparing the release of new power units and an automatic transmission. An alternative could be an imported variator – the discussion about the supply of components is currently in its final phase.
