Malaysia plans to significantly increase the export of auto parts and accessories of its own production to Russia. This was communicated to RIA Novosti by the trade representative at the embassy of the country, Highfil Elmi Jamil. However, the list of details he put forward does not yet inspire optimism, since we are talking about those positions with which the Russians have no problems anyway.
Malaysia in particular is ready to supply batteries, air, fuel and oil filters, brake discs and pads, clutch and exhaust kits, spark plugs and shock absorbers. In general, consumables are required for the regular maintenance of machines. Although the representative also mentioned gearboxes, which is already curious, given their lack of production.
In addition, automotive electronics is of particular importance, as Malaysia is one of the top three countries in chip production. True, so far we are talking only about multimedia systems and acoustics for them – about what AvtoVAZ, for example, desperately needs.
But anyway, you should not count on an ambulance in Malaysia. Indeed, so much time can pass from interest to real deliveries that those who left it with pomp and circumstance at the height of the crisis will already have time to return to the Russian market.
