After living a whole year under the self-imposed sanctions, European brands began to feel the cost, often incompatible with achieving the goals set. And since no one canceled the plan and strategy, a massive search for ways to get around their own limitations began. Among them is the creation of new brands. Particularly in the motor oil market.
As you know, money does not stink, and if you need to get around certain laws to make a profit, then this is a question exclusive to the legal department that every reputable company has. And that includes absolutely all oil brands.
Summarizing the results of the annual games of “parallel imports” and “democracy”, the responsible persons looked at the accounting department, and there debit and credit converged with such a minus in the “profit” column that the shareholders began to ask obscene questions for today. In the style of “where’s the money, Zin” and “why should we pay for other people’s political decisions.”
The controversy must have been heated, and the highlight was the task of not “holding on as long as possible.” On the contrary: carefully, as if on the edge, with the least damage to reputation, throwing products back into the rich Russian market, tempting with its shortage. No sooner said than done, the necessary papers were quickly issued.
Since 2012, there is an investment company EURO MIX OIL in Madrid with a registered capital of no less than 3,000 euros. In 2022, she launched the LUBRICO PETROKIMYA AS plant in Turkey, where “blending” takes place – that is, mixing motor oils for different types and types of equipment: cars, trucks, agricultural vehicles. And all this well-being under the Rinnol brand is sent to the domestic market: we are waiting for the first deliveries in the spring.
Various lines, sub-brands, European quality and other sounding words from the press release. A Spanish brand with a factory in Turkey, the leader of which has abandoned the sanctions game and is actively earning money from cooperation with Russia. But what does this mean for us regular car owners?
The Russian motor oil market consumes a huge amount of products, regularly makes a profit and absolutely does not remain without stocks under any sanctions. The score is too big to go to politicians. Moreover, business has always had a separate, entrenched defense against every foreign and domestic political confrontation, the name of which is money.
As long as the goose lays the golden eggs, no one will come – it is much more profitable to agree and make a profit together. And if for some reason the “laying hen” ceases to fulfill its key function, then this reason must be immediately found and leveled.
And so it happened: without waiting for a quick resolution of the conflict and the lifting of restrictions, the businessmen began to come up with workarounds that would allow them to return to the feeder. For some, as in the case of oil and other near-automotive companies, it is easier to do this, for others, such as the same car manufacturers, it is more difficult. But there is no doubt that everyone will strive for this.
