The last steps of the government of the Russian Federation in arranging the car life of the country deprive us of hope not only for a bright future, but also for a healthy present. Extremely unpleasant trends and prospects, to which their implementation will lead, were reviewed by the AvtoVzglyad portal.
Let’s start with the fact that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin promised to launch traffic on the M12 toll road between Moscow and Kazan by the end of 2023. And generously donated another 30 billion rubles for its construction. Thus, the total estimate of the project exceeded 900 billion “wood”. And the official was very on time.
Because, as it turned out, so much money was spent on the construction of the highway that 1,500 of the builders at a site in the Nizhny Novgorod region went on strike for half a month’s non-payment of wages. The employer, the company LLC “CArCiC Rus”, only recently condescended to pay the hard workers, after the situation received wide publicity. If at other stages of construction things are done in a similar way, then the future M12 and those who will go with it later (for a fee!) Can only sympathize: what will happen to the quality is a question .. .
And meanwhile, for the sake of financing the “payer” Moscow-Kazan, the government has reduced allocations for a whole list of previously approved road projects. For example, the construction of bypasses near Moscow Orekhovo-Zuyevo and Krasnodar has been postponed. The design of the Ring Road-2 Saint Petersburg has been postponed to 2027. The construction of the Meridian transcontinental highway from Belarus to Kazakhstan and the future highway between Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar are generally postponed to a vague future.
That is to say, with new roads, with the possible exception of the M12, we won’t have much in the near future. Like, apparently, with the car market. Since recently, money in the state program of preferential loans for the sale of Russian-made cars has run out. They say the issue of its resumption has been “worked out” at the government level. But one cannot count on a positive outcome of this process.
Because extra budgetary spending is now in high demand. In particular, the plans of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to “shut down” state financing of the Russian auto parts industry recently became the property of the media. Officials plan to “bite it off” and spend about half of the funds already allocated – 3 billion rubles – on the needs of the industry of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the DPR and the LPR. Since the total amount of required investment in this industry (without which the country’s auto industry literally suffocates) is estimated at more than 100 billion rubles. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce languidly denied this information. But the sediment remained.
So it turns out that in Russia one should not expect new roads in the near future, nor an increase in the production and sale of cars. But they will pay wages to the builders of the M12 – until the “Mishutinsky” is over 30 billion rubles.
