The West has threatened Chinese automakers operating in Russia
Under pressure from the collective West, a whole series of car brands have slowed down their activities in our country and a number have gone home completely. Meanwhile, the Chinese actively took advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves and filled the Russian market with everything they could. The reaction of political fanatics was not long in coming…

After the niche in the country’s auto segment began to empty steadily and by no means slowly, the Chinese comrades immediately decided to fill it. What they just don’t bring us: from massively unnecessary electric vehicles, minivans and pickups to crossovers, SUVs and sedans of every kind. The numbers are growing by leaps and bounds. Asians quickly occupy ratings and even unceremoniously approach the leading positions.

If last February, when the Russian special operation had just begun, the top five best-selling brands in our market included domestic LADA, Korean Kia and Hyundai, as well as French Renault and Japanese Toyota, then only Kia remained among the foreigners in the coming year. And even then – only as a catch-up, somehow plotted the last line in the TOP-5. In addition to the unsinkable Lada, the products of the “heavenly” Chery, Haval and Geely turned out to be the most popular. In other words, the Chinese took second, third and fourth places in the “hit parade” of sales.

It seems a little more, and the Asians will start pushing the Russian brand off the pedestal. Unless, of course, AvtoVAZ takes drastic measures. And he, it must be admitted, somehow undertakes them. True, again, not without the help of Chinese colleagues. In any case, it is they who will help the Volga residents to start production of the latest crossovers at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, and they will also not let the primitive Russian models “die” without the necessary auto parts. Even ABS, which AvtoVAZ began installing on the updated LADA Vesta since March 3, is supplied to Togliatti by the Chinese company Kesens. I would like to believe that the Russian authorities will not allow the Asians to “bury” their auto industry, giving them absolute leadership in the market.

However, the Western authorities do not intend to allow this either. Of course, it’s not about saving the positions of the Russian Lada, but about the brutal, as they think, expansion of manufacturers from China. According to the authoritative overseas source Autoevolution, the work of Chinese brands in Russia is considered to be a direct aid to the market and the economy as a whole. And under sanctions, this is unacceptable: “all may not be rosy for Chinese companies, especially if they still intend to make their mark on a global level, including in Europe and the United States.” In other words, the West is directly threatening the boys from China. But what? Obviously the introduction of secondary sanctions against them.

But for some reason, the bourgeoisie who believes in itself forgets that the Chinese market is so huge that it itself has the right to dictate terms to the world. However, the Asians are already imposing them on partners who can so quickly become opponents. For example, they require foreigners to set up joint ventures, build local factories, and strictly regulate prices. If desired, they block the oxygen completely. That is why the same General Motors, which has the largest number of machine building sites in the PRC, is at risk of “smoking out” in an instant, to put it mildly. The Europeans, agreeing with the American activists aggressively set against Russia and for the second time against China, are beginning to see clearly from the fact that all the efforts of the collective West turn into problems only for themselves.

Just in case, some joint projects between Russia and China are disguised exclusively as domestic developments, and some of the newly arrived brands are entering the market under hitherto unknown names and legal entities. And try digging! As they say, the dog barks, but the caravan moves on.
