“I publicly call on the government to drop this draconian increase. Enough to hang all new claims on motorists, enough to accelerate inflation and the impoverishment of citizens! There should be no rate hikes, it’s time for officials to slow down and switch from the usual form of extortion to neutral,” said deputy Sergei Mironov.
Recall that a recent resolution made it possible to increase the maximum rates for passenger cars to 5-8 rubles per kilometer. In addition, the “payers” built under concessions can grow from 12 to 16.5 rubles. Such measures turn toll roads into a service for privileged citizens – due to another price hike, ordinary motorists simply cannot afford to drive on such stretches.
