The most trouble-free three-year crossovers in Russia
Experts in the field again conducted a large-scale survey, surveying more than 300,000 car owners about their satisfaction with the build quality, equipment and reliability indicators of their cars. At the same time, models of large family crossovers were mainly considered. The AvtoVzglyad portal got acquainted with the results.

Highly respected Consumer Reports specialists studied the owners’ reviews of three-year-old full-size crossovers and identified the most successful ones in terms of performance, comfort and safety.

In fairness, it should be noted that the “three-year-olds” for the most part retain the consumer characteristics of a new car, and the mentioned service life is enough to draw conclusions about the extent to which the car justifies the quality and reliability declared by the manufacturer.

So, experts called the Japanese Mazda CX-9 one of the strongest crossovers, which does not annoy its owners with regular problems during everyday use. Consumers praise the car for its low fuel consumption, interior ergonomics and good handling, often unusual for large SUVs. Well, Mazda really knows how to please the driver, although passengers often suffer from “seasickness” in the car, and they also complain about insufficient lighting in the “gallery”.

The Korean Hyundai Santa Fe turned out to be no less durable, which caused a lot of positive feedback due to the convenient layout of the interior, decent control and powerful, but at the same time economical power unit. Koreans have long been taking great and obvious leaps forward by creating products based on the best samples in the world. Although the same “Santa Fe” is certainly not without flaws. For example, car owners often express their dissatisfaction with the too quickly scratching plastic in the cabin and the annoying build-up experienced by drivers in the back row. Also, the owners point out the vulnerability of the paintwork to “sandblasting”.

The survey participants cited enviable comfort levels in the Japanese Honda Pilot, Acura MDX and Toyota Highlander, among others. However, one can only agree with this, since the initially mentioned models are designed specifically for the North American market, where smoothness is one of the main factors when choosing a car. Like, in fact, the “two pedal” transmission.

But we would argue about the excellent sound insulation. As well as about the practicality of the interior, devoid of a modern interface and “smell” of frank archaism. And the multimedia system is completely annoying with the menu congestion with its mediocre response and graphic design. It is not for nothing that none of these models is included in the TOP-10 best cars of 2023, which was also compiled by experts from Consumer Reports.
