As part of the first press conference, which Alexey Podshchekoldin held in the status of president of the ROAD, many problems of the industry were discussed, including the shortage of original parts. He noted that dealer stocks have more than halved, which greatly complicates any repair, and especially warranty. New deliveries are arriving, but their volumes are 10 times lower than needed. Therefore, customers often have to wait 2-3 months for their car to be restored.
According to Mr. Podshchekoldin, today Russian dealers are betting on China, where, in his opinion, they have already learned how to produce high-quality spare parts. Yes, such details do not show brand logos of car brands, but they can be trusted. So soon cars will be massively repaired with “non-original”. Or the “original”, but for a lot of money and for a very long time.
By the way, in this regard, the new president of the ROAD considers it a big mistake on the part of the Russian authorities to let go of former partners, starting with Ford and ending with Toyota, “just like that”. That is, without requiring them to build serious warehouse stocks, provide hassle-free warranty repairs to car owners who have been “abandoned” at the mercy of fate, or some kind of insurance fund. Well, that would really help. The only pity is that trains – or rather car manufacturers – have already left.
