Of these, we particularly note the sporty Gazelle NN’ with a 200 hp diesel engine, which performed in the light commercial vehicle category (category GDM-LCV). The second car is a multiple winner of many international races, the powerful medium-duty Sadko NEXT, exhibited in the LDTV category.
Another interesting example of GAZ Reid Sport, which has always attracted the attention of visitors, is the new Valdai cabover. Its sports version, composed entirely of series units, has repeatedly won numerous drag races on Lake Baikal.
Electric cars are coming!
Among the other celebrities of the “Baikal Mile” shown at the exhibition, it is worth highlighting the LAV 30/500 “Sarma” electric sports car. It was designed by Irkutsk engineers in collaboration with a number of Russian industrial enterprises. The testers then managed to set a speed record of almost 140 km/h when driving away.
In addition to pure sports cars, electric cars for the public road were also on display, as part of the EDriv partial exhibition. For example, the Leapmotor C01 executive sedan with an electric motor with a capacity of almost 550 “horses” aroused noticeable public interest. With this, the car accelerates to hundreds in 3.7 seconds. Impressive!
