Dreaming is not harmful: Korean cars ended in Russia
Sad but true: Russian dealers of Korean brands no longer have new cars. The sellers collected the last scraps in the regions to take them to Moscow, where consumers are still willing to pay big bucks for cars from the Land of the Morning Silence. True, stocks in stock – one, two and miscalculated. With details – the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

Our editors’ reviewers walked through the showrooms of Korean brands and found out how many cars are still in dealerships and how much they can be bought for. If you can of course. First of all, we were interested in budget models a la Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris, which are running low. To be more precise, you can’t find the Rio in stock at all, but the Solaris are still gathering dust. Although there are very few of them.

For example, in DC “Rolf” there are only 14 cars left, which are traded from 2.1 to 2.5 million rubles. Two of these with manual gearbox. As representatives of the showroom told the AvtoVzglyad portal, at the beginning of the year, dealers bought all the remaining cars from the plant – the storage areas were completely empty.

At the same time, retailers are willing to negotiate and offer additional discounts when renting an old car in Trade-in. The discount can be up to 150,000 “wood”, and about 100,000 more can be saved when applying for a loan. So with an initial investment of 20%, the interest – depending on the partner bank – can vary from 13 to 18%.

But you won’t find our brother’s beloved Hyundai Creta crossover with fire in the afternoon. Cars ran out before spring came. But the much more expensive Kia Sorento will do, and a Kia Carnival is also available. Moreover, the latter can be imported both “ex works with official guarantee” and “parallel” via gray import channels. The difference in price will be about 300,000 rubles. If in absolute terms, then 5,700,000 against 6,000,000 “wooden”.

Much more interesting is the situation with the most popular crossover Kia Sportage, which is offered only on the “parallel”, but you can even find a car on the “mechanics”. By the way, we found on sale two SUVs “at hand” and with a rather meager list of equipment. But unlike the “automatic” version with all the “goodies”, which will demand at least 3,617,900 rubles, the “manual” version will cost 2,850,000, which is almost equivalent to the suggested retail price of the Korean automaker “frozen” in Russia.

As the Kia Center Sheremetyevo told the AvtoVzglyad portal, stocks are running out before our eyes: only four “live” Kia Cerato remain, the price tag of which, depending on the configuration, ranges from 2.5 to 2.9 million ruble. The credit rate starts at 13.4% and you can save about 100,000 when buying a car under the trade-in program. In the backyard of the DC, three copies of Kia Ceed in Comfort trim are waiting in the wings. Once they run out, the dealer will only ship cars through the parallel import window. In addition, it will not work to order a car in the desired version – you will have to take what the seller wants to bring himself. In other words, something much more expensive than you would like.

By the way, in cooperation with insurance companies, car dealers began to provide a guarantee for imported products, which costs 80,000 rubles and is valid for the next two years. But it only applies to the engine and gearbox. Everything else is “your problem”. Like, in fact, the subsequent shortage of components, due to the export ban to Russia imposed by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Overall good boots, but you don’t have to …
